Data Center Insights

Digital infrastructure in dialog

Full house, inspiring atmosphere, exciting inputs and intensive discussions.

After a successful start last year, with speakers from Amazon Web Services and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the Data Center Insights will take place again in fall 2025.

The focus was on the question: How do we make data centers fit for the future? Sustainable, efficient, flexible - and ready for new technologies.

  • Alexandra Thorer (BCS Consultancy) showed why choosing the right location is far more than just a technical decision. She shed light on how strategic location decisions can shape entire regions.

  • Abdel Labbi (IBM Research) took the participants on a journey into the future of computing: from the IBM Quantum Roadmap to synthetic data and customized AI models to the evolution of software architectures - with direct implications for data centre design.

  • Marco Stadler (Green) provided insights into the transformation of data centers and demonstrated how sustainable design paradigms are already shaping the large-scale projects of tomorrow.

The intensive discussions at the Fireside Chat and the subsequent drinks reception showed that data centers are the key to the future viability of digital infrastructures. The challenges are great, the opportunities even greater.

The next round of the event will take place in fall 2026.

In the video, our CEO explains Magnus Willers, why now is a particularly exciting time for data center engineering - and how awareness of sustainable concepts has changed fundamentally in recent years.
