How do we create an innovation platform for cleanroom technology?

The Cleanroom Innovation Forum initiated by Willers has established itself as a central platform for innovation, exchange and visibility in cleanroom engineering at the interface of Industry 4.0 and high-tech infrastructure. An interdisciplinary jury of experts curates selected innovation projects, complemented by keynotes and networking - for genuine knowledge transfer between research, industry and practice.

How do we drive innovation in the cleanroom sector through research partnerships?

The close cooperation between industry and research enables market-relevant innovations and accelerates their transfer into practice. A mock-up realized together with HLSU demonstrates the potential of renewable materials and modular concepts for energy efficiency, prefabrication and scaling.

How do we pass on cleanroom expertise to the next generation?

Our CTO Andreas Rieben teaches the annual „Cleanroom Technology“ module for bachelor students on the HVAC and GEE courses at the HSLU. In this way, current industry experience and practical engineering approaches flow directly into the training - and strengthen the transfer of knowledge between research, teaching and practice.

Our interdisciplinary team of building technicians, chemists, architects, energy engineers, GMP consultants and HVACSE planners works independently and supports the client from project initiation to commissioning. We evaluate concepts over the entire life cycle with a particular focus on flexibility and sustainability.

As part of cleanroom planning, we evaluate requirements, examine possible solutions, determine credit requirements and develop the specifications.

With our experience in GMP compliance, qualification and validation, we bring new systems and upgrades safely to their destination.

We develop the concepts for cleanrooms, including functional and relationship diagrams, layouts and zone concepts.

When designing the rooms, we define the exact technical requirements for materials and surfaces.

We coordinate and bring together all HVACSE trades, create spatial installation concepts and evaluate energy supply options.

We model a digital version of the building as a 3D model with all relevant information. This allows all planning processes to be controlled efficiently - a central component of modern cleanroom planning.

We calculate and validate the costs for operation and energy. This enables precise planning of economic and sustainable use.

We integrate all processes into the room program and position all systems accordingly.

We support cleanroom projects throughout the entire construction process, right up to checking the installation and acceptance.
