challenges
Zurich Airport has numerous systems that monitor, log and control operations. The noise protection hall must integrate seamlessly into this environment. There are therefore numerous interfaces in the building automation system: For example, to the airport's movement control system, runway lighting, maintenance and control of the gates, signaling, noise measurement point, etc. The new automation system was integrated into the airport operating company's existing IT infrastructure.
SOLUTIONS
So far, there are only a few noise protection halls worldwide and therefore little experience with such systems. However, one thing is clear: automation is the key to simple and safe operation. The requirements were agreed with all the specialist departments involved and set out in detail in a specification sheet. In addition to complying with the noise limit values in accordance with the Noise Abatement Ordinance (LSV), the use of the hall is automatically billed to the various airlines via an interface to the SAP system.
