challenges
New buildings or conversions of cleanrooms must have as little impact as possible on the ongoing manufacturing process. Conversions are made more difficult by the fact that they take place in existing buildings in very confined spaces. The facilities must be GMP-compliant and tested and qualified accordingly. At the same time, however, they must use energy as efficiently as possible.
SOLUTIONS
We have been working on over 100 projects for the pharmaceutical company since 2002. Since then, all cleanrooms have met the high requirements and been qualified at the first attempt. Keeping to the schedule is very important so that the medicines can be produced on time. As cleanrooms are very energy-intensive, they offer great leverage for increasing efficiency. We scrutinize the requirements and make it possible to achieve major savings with small interventions. Through our work with several pharmaceutical companies, we are able to learn from the experience of competent plant operators and thus incorporate our operating experience into new construction projects to determine which systems will also prove their worth in the long term.
