How can outdated technology at ETH be made fit for the future?

In existing research buildings, we integrate architecture, supporting structure and building technology to replace outdated systems with modern, high-performance systems - without interrupting operations. Our general planning ensures that media, security, laboratory supply and technical infrastructure meet current research standards and remain expandable in the long term.

How do we plan data centers in highly sensitive environments?

We develop data center solutions in highly sensitive existing environments - even in the immediate vicinity of Switzerland's first physical quantum computer. Our general planning coordinates cooling, energy supply, fire protection and construction processes in such a way that critical high-tech infrastructure remains protected at all times and scalability for future HPC and quantum applications is ensured.

How is UZH's first COâ‚‚-free energy center with geothermal probes being built?

We plan cluster energy centers that generate heating and cooling entirely from sustainable sources. Geothermal probe fields, seasonal geothermal storage and intelligent system architectures form the basis for a COâ‚‚-free campus supply. As general planners, we combine civil engineering, HVAC, energy infrastructure and building automation to create an overall system that is technically robust, economically viable and expandable in the long term - the starting point for the first UZH Cluster Campus.

How do we avoid interface losses in complex construction projects?

We manage all planning disciplines under one roof and assume overall responsibility. For the client, this means one point of contact, clear decisions and no interface losses. From architecture and structural engineering to HVAC, electrical engineering, building automation, laboratory and computer room planning, we manage every trade with an in-depth technical understanding - ensuring quality, deadlines and costs.

How does planning really work in the company?

We think buildings through their entire life cycle. Right from the design stage, we check system architectures against operating scenarios, performance requirements and energy efficiency targets. Model-based coordination, risk-controlled planning and robust redundancy concepts result in solutions that function reliably in everyday life - with measurably lower operating costs and higher system performance.
