Even before the start, the atmosphere was special: calm, focused, without nervousness - they just wanted to get going. So far, everything is going according to plan: good weather conditions, the La Luna boat is being navigated confidently, the procedures are working, the team is in rhythm.
They are currently in first place, closely followed by another boat, while the rest of the field is well behind.
On the open sea, wind, waves, endless expanses and an estimated 1.5 million rowing strokes set the pace - here on land, that special feeling of being part of something really big remains.
4+ weeks on the open ocean, 4,800 kilometers to the west - and we get to share in the excitement and support.
We are infected by this spirit of adventure and are incredibly proud of the team.
Keep going 44west!!!
