Two cabins at a time were to be dismantled and rebuilt while
the remaining cleanroom area of 4,000 m2 remained in operation. This
made the planning particularly challenging. It required a
sophisticated logistics plan for the construction sites and many conversions and
temporary solutions. We are looking for good solutions for the company that will enable the craftsmen and us to build and stay in the company as much as possible during normal working hours. However, if it is absolutely necessary for operational reasons, we shall also be on duty at night and on weekends.
New Cleanrooms for Global Pharmaceutical Group
Aargau
A global pharmaceutical company needs new cleanrooms to meet the growing regulatory requirements. In the production
and logistics building in Aargau, eight cleanroom cabins are being replaced by
state-of-the-art facilities.
How can cleanrooms be properly replaced without interfering with ongoing production?
Challenges
Close coordination with all parties involved is crucial for success.
Solutions
Elaborate overall planning for over 1.5 years enables
smooth renovation of the cleanrooms in the following two years. Coordination with operations and the quality assurance managers is just as important as the seamless interaction of all the departments involved, most especially in complex projects such as construction during ongoing production.
