Countdown Atlantic crossing 44west

The countdown to the biggest adventure of their lives has begun. One month from today, our rowing team 44west.ch will set sail - on their way across the Atlantic. 4,800 kilometers, 44 degrees of longitude, always heading west: from La Gomera to Antigua.

The farewell party is behind them, the boat La Luna has already been shipped. Three years of preparation are behind them Luca Fayd'herbe de Maudave, Matthias Fernandez, Julian Müller and Lorenzo Henseler - Three years of training, planning, doubt, perseverance and a huge vision.

Physically, they are ready. In the final weeks, the focus is now on what cannot be measured: mindset and mental strength. Because the real challenge lies not in muscle strength, but in staying connected as a team - in the tightest of spaces, during unexpected incidents or mental lows. When the waves rise, communication, trust and mutual responsibility become what carries them across the sea.

This attitude connects us with 44West. It shows how progress is made: when people give each other the space to grow beyond themselves.

The countdown is on - and we are proud to be following this path with 44West.
