The operational phase of a building is the longest phase of its
life cycle. The costs for the use of buildings are correspondingly high compared to the construction costs. Here lies the
greatest leverage for economic success. The basis for this
are the BIM data from the construction phase. As engineers, we build the bridge between construction and operation and ensure that the models are used in facility management and stored with the right information. With BIM2FM, we ensure economical building operation and optimal facility management.
BIM2FM - Digital Twins in an organisation
With the use of BIM models in facility management we help our customers to reduce their running costs and to open up new opportunities in the life cycle of a building.
Optimising planning
Thanks to the open system code of the BIM software, actuators,
sensors and the building management system can be integrated into the entire
BIM concept right from the start. The digital building model thus becomes the
real-time based control, measurement and regulation centre.
Simulations
With BIM models, important parameters of a building can be defined in advance. Variables such as indoor climate and CO2 emissions can be calculated and optimised.
Services
Project management
Together with you, we’ll coordinate the BIM client specifications and
ensure that all the necessary information for operation is available in the
model.
User centricity
Use cases are the basis for the subsequent operation; in workshops,
we define and describe the use cases and derive the necessary BIM specifications.
Application architecture
In order for the digital twin to be used, there needs to be an
embedded application architecture. The optimal architecture is developed in coordination with the IT department and technology.
Interface definition
Based on the application architecture, the different
interfaces are defined between CDE, CAFM, ERP, the building management system and all other systems.
System evaluation
Replace systems, introduce new systems: For system evaluation
we draw up the specifications, send out invitations to tender
and monitor the integration.
ICT integration
The merging of IT and OT is mandatory: As bridge builders
between IT and technology, we work out the
necessary integration of the systems step by step.
Technology scouting
Always one step ahead: We observe rapidly changing technologies, new
opportunities and megatrends through targeted
market analyses and use these findings for the best
system decisions.
