As a graduate HVAC engineer, Adi started his career at Elektrowatt Engineering AG in Zurich and also worked in Asia for two years. After completing further Master's degrees in economics and architecture, Adi built up the building technology and overall planning division as co-owner at Amstein+Walthert AG. During his time on the management board, Amstein+Walthert AG developed from an SME into one of the largest Swiss planning companies.  

Since 2015, he has been heading the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Building Technologies and also head of the Institute for Building Technology and Energy at HSLU. Today, Adi is active on various boards of directors, such as Belimo Holding AG and Energie Wasser Bern, as well as on the advisory board of ETH Zurich. In various association activities, Adi has also been advancing our industry for many years. From 2009 to the present day, he has been Vice-President of the SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects) and since 2021 he has been President of the SNV (Swiss Association for Standardisation).  

Adi likes to discover foreign cultures and distant countries. But he also enjoys the rural idyll of his home in Thurgau and, as a "homesick Zurich native", he is always thrilled by the diversity of the "little big city" of Zurich.
